This is a compendium of NTEP approved carat scales as of January 9 2004, including their NTEP Certificate references (See http://ntep.nist.gov/ntep/navigation.htm)

Executive Summary:
The following are the only NTEP-approved carat scales that are certified by NIST to .01 carat accuracy with active certificates. Note that these scales all display but are not certified to .001ct:
